When a Dream Begins to Become a Place

The Road to Asti — Chapter I

The beginning of a new chapter in the story of Lumière di Essenza.

There is a particular moment in the life of a dream when it begins to change.

For a long time, it exists only in the imagination. It lives in conversations late at night, in sketches and photographs, in ideas written down before they disappear, and in that quiet certainty that something beautiful could exist if only we had the courage to create it.

And then, one day, the dream begins to acquire a place.

For us, that place is Asti.

In the heart of Piemonte, surrounded by the landscapes, vineyards, traditions, and quiet elegance of Monferrato, Lumière di Essenza is preparing to begin a new chapter: the creation of our first Maison.

Until now, much of Lumière has been built around a table.

It has been created through countless conversations between the two of us, through products discovered and considered, fragrances experienced, packaging opened and examined, materials touched, colors compared, ideas changed, and sometimes changed again.

We have learned that building something with intention requires patience.

Not everything beautiful reveals itself immediately.

And perhaps that is precisely why this moment feels so meaningful.

A Home for Lumière

We have never imagined Lumière di Essenza simply as a place where things are sold.

We imagine a place where things are felt.

A place where the fragrance of a candle can awaken a memory.

Where a beautifully made soap can remind us that even the most ordinary rituals deserve care.

Where natural materials, warm light, quiet fragrances, craftsmanship, and hospitality come together to create an atmosphere that asks us, if only for a few minutes, to slow down.

This is what we hope to create in Asti.

Not simply a boutique.

A home.

At Lumière di Essenza, we have always believed that those who enter our world should be welcomed not merely as customers, but as Guests.

The Maison will give us the opportunity to bring that philosophy into a physical space for the first time.

A door to open.

A room to fill with fragrance.

Shelves to hold objects made with care.

And, eventually, Guests to welcome inside.

The Beginning

The Maison does not exist yet exactly as we imagine it.

There are still walls to prepare, shelves to build, objects to discover, and countless decisions waiting to be made.

And that is precisely why we want to document this moment.

Because one day, when the doors are open and Lumière di Essenza Maison has become part of the streets of Asti, we want to remember what it felt like when it was still becoming.

This is not the story of something finished.

It is the story of something beginning.

And this is where our Road to Asti begins.
